I interviewed Stanley several times some years ago at the station during our fundraisers and as a WFSK Artist of the Week. He was the long-time trumpet player for the late great B.B.King.
R.I.P Dr. Frances Cress Welsing she dies January 2, 2016. She was with us for a station promotion two months before she past away. We were at the historic Appleton Room in Jubilee Hall on the Fisk campus with Al-Kebulan Images Bookstore owner Yusef Harris (l) is owner of the city's only Black bookstore.
After 6-years of interviewing leadership expert Dr. Myles Munroe on What's the 411?, Sharon Kay finally got to meet him when he spoke for a Black History Month lecture on leadership. He died November 9, 2014.
"Dr. Munroe has been an important part of my on-going series of shows on leadership. It was a divinely ordered privilege", said Kay.
